@Joeykai: How would you feel about me giving you template editor access so you can handle these these requests yourself? It's become clear from watching this page for a while that the regular edit request crew has little interest in dealing with requests to this template (probably due to lack of interest in sports) so we need more people from this page to become template editors, and you seem like the most experienced of them. * Pppery * it has begun... 21:04, 29 September 2026 (UTC)Reply

Template-protected edit request on 1 November 2026 - DePaul Blue Demons

[edit]

Please update the DePaul Blue Demons entry to the school's current official colors.

Please change:

["DePaul Blue Demons"] = {"054696", "FFFFFF", "E4002B", name1="royal blue", name3="scarlet", cite="{{cite manual |url=http://offices.depaul.edu/student-affairs/about/Documents/SA_GRAPHIC_ID_GUIDELINES_interactive.pdf |title=DePaul University Graphic Identity Guidelines |access-date=April 10, 2016}}"},

to

["DePaul Blue Demons"] = {"003DA5", "FFFFFF", "CE112D", name1="DePaul blue", name3="scarlet", cite="{{cite web |url=https://depaulbluedemons.com/feature/brand-guidelines |title=Brand Guidelines: Color Story |work=DePaul University Athletics |access-date=November 1, 2026}}"},

Reason: DePaul Athletics updated its brand standards in July 2025 (announcement). The current brand guidelines list DePaul Blue (Pantone 293 C, RGB 0, 61, 165, hex #003DA5) as the primary color and Scarlet (Pantone 186 C, RGB 206, 17, 45, hex #CE112D) as the supporting color; the existing entry cites a 2016 university PDF that predates the update. White text on #003DA5 has a contrast ratio of roughly 9.5:1. Disclosure: I work for DePaul Athletics and have a conflict of interest, which is why I am requesting rather than editing. Thank you. ~2026-58450-47 (talk) 05:16, 2 November 2026 (UTC)Reply
