Sir @ben, @heyitsjem
Please solve this issue!!!

Account deletion request - Please MERGE @star_dev into @dj29 #24478

could an admin please perform an Account Merge using Forem's Moderator::MergeUser feature?

Here are the account details: β€’ Keep Account (Primary): @dj29

β€’ Merge & Remove Account (Secondary): @star_dev

Merging @star_dev into @dj29 will automatically reassign all badge_achievements (Host, Attendee, Completionist) to my primary profile (@dj29) and safely retire the @star_dev account.

I confirm that I am the sole owner of both accounts (writing from 23ceuoz057@ddu.ac.in and CC'ing dhruvdjani29@gmail.com) and explicitly authorize this merge.

Thank you for your help! Dhruv Jani (@dj29)

Its been months! and neither the @star_dev account been deleted nor removed from myMLH profile, none of the mails or discord tickets solve this.

Please help!

Made a PR that fixes awarding DEV Contributor Club Badges:

Fix attribution issue for DEV Contributor Club Badges #24301

What type of PR is this? (check all applicable)

  • [ ] Refactor
  • [ ] Feature
  • [x] Bug Fix
  • [x] Optimization
  • [ ] Documentation Update

Description

Note: Generated by Gemma4

Some contributors were not receiving their "Contributor Club" badges (e.g., 16x-commit-club) despite having the required number of merged pull requests. This was primarily due to GitHub attribution issues where commits were not associated with the user's current GitHub ID (often caused by changes in verified emails).

This PR improves the badge awarding logic by complementing the total commit count with an explicit count of merged pull requests using the GitHub Search API.

Added/updated tests?

  • [x] Yes
  • [ ] No, and this is why: please replace this line with details on why tests have not been included
  • [ ] I need help with writing tests

What gif best describes this PR or how it makes you feel?

Summary by CodeRabbit

  • New Features
    • Contributor badges now reflect activity from both commits and merged pull requests over the past 14 days, using whichever activity count is higher.
    • Contributors can qualify for badges through merged pull requests even when their commits aren’t attributed to them on GitHub.
  • Bug Fixes
    • Badge awards are more resilient when GitHub search requests encounter temporary errors or rate limits.

I dunno. This?

But it's bittersweet considering which article earned me this badge, but maybe that's what makes it special.

PoF of the session diagnostic UI for reporails

when your agents are misbehaving, you might want to look at the session itself, to see when/where it went wrong. However that is only half the picture, you need a diagnosis as well (second picture).

full disclosure: it's a PoC of a UI, made by a backend developer πŸ˜…
any kind of feedback or pointer how to make this better is more than welcomed

Fixed a bug someone wrote in about. They set a task to repeat every 12 weeks by mistake and couldn't change it back, not on the web and not in the app. Each occurrence only copied the repeat type from the series behind it, so the edit form showed plain weekly and never sent the real pattern.

Now the pattern can be changed from any occurrence, and the next pending one moves onto the new schedule. Completed and overdue ones stay where they were.

I'm a privacy and security concerned person.

I don't trust and like all those AI installations (Claude, Antigravity, Codex, Copilot, Pi etc.) doing all those automated tasks on my machine. But I see the benefit of these (once you set them up properly).

Solved this dilemma partially by switching all my AI Agents to Docker Cloud Sandbox (got $250 promo credits, using it wisely πŸ₯°πŸ€£).

Also setting up Lima to securely handle AI Agents on local machines.

After I set this all up, AI Agents can run sudo rm -rf / in YOLO mode, I wouldn't have to care. 🀣

Taking way more time on this than I like to admit, but loving it πŸ₯°

Shipped the first monthly release train for karasu, an architecture modeling language I'm building entirely with Claude Code. πŸš‚ It ran all the way to npm and the VS Code Marketplace without stopping. All I did was read the CHANGELOG and merge.

Also taught the agent to check its own demo videos: it cuts the MP4 into a frame every 3 seconds and tiles them into one image, so it can see whether the captions and the flow are right before I watch it.

Small win: I got two illustrated posts from Medium onto DEV, with the links and code checked on the published pages. The least glamorous part was also the most satisfying which was opening the finished posts and finding nothing missing after the move πŸ˜„

After years of hacking deployment status boards out of Google Sheets & Zapier, I finally bit the bullet & launched fooboard.dev. It's free, requires zero integration, and it is freaking AWESOME!

If nobody else ever uses it but me and my team, I'll take the win! 😎
