Personal site demos
- Tantek Γelik starts. tantek.com. posts notes (medium, short, long-form), badges, reactions to public GitHub issues (and full GH issues). photos. would like to improve photos.
- Joschi Kuphal jkphl.is. "was" his site, with a CMS and everything. replaced with a minimal homepage 2 years ago. wants to shrink down the old site. working on experiments on more sustainable web sites. brought some hardware for hack day tomorrow to measure energy usage.
- Jeremy Cherfas jeremycherfas.net. Mostly for notes. Main goal is to find a way to display photos that replaces Instagram. Recently put site behind Cloudflare to mitigate bot traffic, which broke some things, wants to try and fix or rethink things that broke with Cloudflare.
- nand-studios.com. explore projects in a 3D map, visual design projects for brands and games. lots of unique navigation
- danielpietzsch.com. blog, articles, notes, videos. also events. separate site for photos.
- Template:manuel manuelbucher.com. very WIP site since this year. some blog posts. wants to fill out some top-level pages.
- jsinterface.org/author/blik. has been focused on (re)writing internals for the past year or so. wants to focus on content. also wants to speed up rendering, which now happens on a per-client basis. details on elements, scoped styles, and islands as we waited for the page to render. has experimented with hosting the site on his phone. not as much battery use as expected after 9 months!
- paulagdi.com. site is currently work-driven, product design. wants to expand to more projects besides work.
- slawomirjakub.com. UX/UI and frontend portfolio site. recent focus on accessibility. looking for new opportunities!
- j42.fr. a lot of colors (42) at the moment but not much else. interested in static site generators, but also ActivityPub, but those don't overlap much. wondering about returning to WordPress to bridge these
- jo dead.garden. mainly a blog. brought personal website cards! site also has photos, art, books, and a dr who fansite.
- stgb.ro (https://studioagenturbuero.com/). studio site for design and frontend. active in Drupal, permacomputing, and other communities, with an archive of talks. static site is generated from hand-written shell scripts. also shares links via multiple streams on pinboard.in.
- https://leandrolinares.com locally owning frontend experiment and hardware instructions + blog, vanilla HTML, no templates β fun to maintai
- https://martymcgui.re since 2015 blogging, projects, machine knitting, photos, cat videos, see https://martymcgui.re/likes for bookmarks
Coffee and water break!
