uBlock Origin
This article is a stub. You can help the IndieWeb wiki by expanding it with relevant information.
uBlock Origin is a free, open-source ad blocking browser plugin that allows users to subscribe to a selection of blocklists and/or create their own per-site element-filtering rules using a CSS-like selector syntax. Several Indieweb chat members use it to dynamically hide page sections they donβt want to see on sites like YouTube, LinkedIn, and GitHub. As of Sep. 2026, it is currently available for the desktop versions of Firefox, Brave, and Edge browsers.
