Requested addition: mobile video competitors

This edit request by an editor with a conflict of interest was declined.

Disclosure: I previously served as chief marketing officer of Viddy.

Please consider adding this sentence in the History section, immediately after the sentence about real-time filters introduced in 2012:

Pixorial's mobile app competed with services including Socialcam and Viddy.^[1]

This source is already cited in the article's discussion of the filters update. The proposed sentence adds brief context about the app's competitors and relevant internal links.

Hi Yourfriendevan, and thank you for the suggestion. I am declining your proposed edit because it doesn't seem relevant to me, and the intent feels like a product placement. I do see that Viddy is an orphaned article, so I understand you may be trying to add links to resolve the maintenance tag, but I'm afraid this one is not going to work out. If it makes you feel any better, the orphan template is automatically hidden from readers after two months. Altamel (talk) 05:28, 2 November 2026 (UTC)Reply
