Wikipedia's principle of maintaining a neutral point of view requires that editors with conflicts of interest (COIs) avoid disruptive editing. However, editors with COIs are among the most passionate about the subjects in question, and I don't believe we should block them wholesale from making valuable contributions.
When I have a COI, I usually stick to non-substantial changes (e.g. adding images, improving formatting, correcting grammar). To ensure I am editing ethically, I will disclose all relevant conflicts of interest to the best of my ability:
I have to remind some people of some policies and guidelines all the time. So I'm starting a collection of them right here on my user page! I also cite some essays that seem like common sense to me, so I'm including some here. Also, if I'm ever a hypocrite by breaking the principles in these pages, please point it out!
