If that doesn't help, read these FAQs.
1. Why did you delete my page when I hadn't finished writing it?
- Answer: Don't create new articles unless you are sure they meet wikipedia's criteria, particularly notability and verifiability. If you want to practice, there is the sandbox facility and Wikipedia:Articles for creation where you can get a second opinion from a more experienced contributor. And if you really can't help yourself, use {{underconstruction}} so other people will know you are still working on it.
2. Why did you delete my page for advertising? I wasn't trying to advertise!
- Answer: Read Wikipedia:NPOV for guidance on how to word an article so that it doesn't sound like an advertisement.
3. Why did you delete my page for advertising? It was about a non-profit organisation!
- Answer: Non-profit organisations advertise all the time - it's still promotion and the rule applies to them just as it does to commercial bodies. See no 2 above.
4. Why did you delete my article without warning?
- Answer: Because you are not entitled to a warning if you don't follow the guidelines. See no 1 above.
5. Why didn't you do a google search and find references for my article and put them in for me instead of just deleting it?
- Answer: Because I don't have time to do the boring bits for you. I have enough boring bits of my own to work on, thank you.
6. You have a very interesting view of neutrality. The authors you give credence to have a definite point of view and you discount those that disagree.
- Answer: There is of course no answer because this is not a question. It's a snide comment added by someone who doesn't understand the NPOV rule. Possibly a Ricardian revisionist.
And please SIGN YOUR POSTS, otherwise I don't know who is asking me the question!

- There's a weird error kicking around. I've run into it, and I think @KylieTastic: mentioned it's tracked somewhere as well. Star Mississippi 02:52, 28 October 2026 (UTC)
- To be fair, I probably just overlooked it. Deb (talk) 06:32, 28 October 2026 (UTC)
- For the bug see T437716, due to be fixed when they get around to installing 1.48/wmf.1 which was supposed to be installed 22 October 2026, but I assume has been put on hold due to the work fixing PHP bug related things. KylieTastic (talk) 10:03, 28 October 2026 (UTC)
- Thanks - I'm glad you mentioned it! Deb (talk) 11:33, 28 October 2026 (UTC)

[edit]I'm trying to get this page established but now I can't even put in the basic vital info as it's saying the page can't be draft edited. Can that be reversed?

Administrators' newsletter – November 2026
[edit]News and updates for administrators from the past month (October 2026).

- Following an RfC, election to ArbCom now requires at least 60% support. Successful candidates normally serve two-year terms, with one-year terms retained for filling vacancies. Proposals to change the election rules may now be added throughout the year and discussed on the talk page; formal discussion remains in September.
- Following an RfC, first-time reviewers’ reviews require an experienced reviewer’s check, and GA requirements now include alt text and accessible tables. Featured articles may receive GA status during removal discussions if they meet GA criteria. Backlog drives will run every five months, with a points leaderboard and awards for the top five participants.
- Self-nominations for the Arbitration Committee are open until 11 November 2026.
- Ongoing backlog drives: Copy editing, Unreference articles
Request for restoration of Draft:TransFICC
[edit]Hello Deb,
I noticed that my draft article on TransFICC was deleted on September 26 under criterion G11. I am an infrequent provider, normally in nerdy fixed income areas.
Being relatively new to editing Wikipedia and appreciating that my original submission may have read as promotional, although that was not my intention. I was trying to provide a factual description of a financial technology company using published trade press sources. It looks like whiffed it.
I would like to improve the article in accordance with Wikipedia’s neutrality and notability requirements. Would it be possible to restore the deleted draft to my user sandbox so that I can review and revise it before considering another submission?
I would also welcome any guidance on the principal shortcomings of the original draft. I try to be on top of things in my field, but stumble on occasion.
Thank you for your time and assistance. Have a nice evening, Louis Mama (talk) 20:04, 2 November 2026 (UTC)
- I can't see any reason to restore it after all this time. As you are inexperienced at editing Wikipedia, it would be more useful if you took some time to familiarise yourself with the Wikipedia guidelines and policies and begin by making small edits to existing articles, rather than trying to create something brand new.
