MfD nomination of Draft:EzatAlnajm
[edit]
Draft:EzatAlnajm, a page which you created or substantially contributed to, has been nominated for deletion. Your opinions on the matter are welcome; you may participate in the discussion by adding your comments at Wikipedia:Miscellany for deletion/Draft:EzatAlnajm and please be sure to sign your comments with four tildes (~~~~). You are free to edit the content of Draft:EzatAlnajm during the discussion but should not remove the miscellany for deletion template from the top of the page; such a removal will not end the deletion discussion. Thank you. — Alexis Jazz (talk or ping me) 12:20, 2 June 2026 (UTC)

- Talk page comments indicate that the person doesn't know much English, which is okay. But the state of the articles shows that the person is unfamiliar with everything about how Wikipedia works, from the serious (sources required) to the downright cheesy (sloppy formatting). Perhaps consider an Admin-level intervention that is friendly but firm. ---DOOMSDAYER520 (TALK|CONTRIBS) 15:54, 6 June 2026 (UTC)

Seeking guidance on editing and contribution standards
[edit]I hope you’re having a good day.
I’ve been exploring Wikipedia recently and I am very interested in contributing more effectively. I noticed your work on the article [ Draft:Abdullah shuaib ], and I was impressed by the quality and the standards you maintain.
I am a beginner and still learning the ropes of Wikipedia’s guidelines, specifically regarding [ notability standards / citation styles / neutral point of view]. I was wondering if you could spare a moment to point me toward the best practices for contributing to this type of article, or perhaps suggest a guide for a newcomer looking to help improve content without making common mistakes?
I really value the work you do here, and any advice you could share would be greatly appreciated. Assekoas (talk) 19:38, 6 June 2026 (UTC)
I hope you are having a productive day. I am reaching out regarding the draft submission for the article on Abdullah Şuayip, a contemporary Iraqi artist and cinematographer. I have been following the progress of this draft and appreciate the feedback provided during the review process. The subject has significantly contributed to documenting regional heritage through his recent musical and cinematic work, which has been highlighted by various reputable media outlets such as Monte Carlo Doualiya and Al-Sabah. Following the previous review, the draft has been carefully revised to ensure strict adherence to Wikipedia’s policies, particularly concerning notability and the use of independent, secondary sources. All promotional content has been removed to prioritize an encyclopedic and neutral tone. I believe the current draft now effectively demonstrates the subject's notability through verified, high-quality sources. I would appreciate it if you could take a moment to re-evaluate this updated submission. Your expertise and guidance in maintaining the quality of Wikipedia are highly valued. Thank you for your time and for your contribution to the project. Best regards,

WikiCup 2026 July newsletter
[edit]The third round of the 2026 WikiCup ended on 28 June at 23:59 (UTC). As a reminder, good article nomination reviews now receive 10 points, while peer reviews, which continue to be worth 5 points, are now listed in the same section as featured article candidate reviews, rather than with good article reviews. Everyone who competed in round 3 will advance to round 4 unless they have withdrawn or been banned. No other changes to the round-point system have been made for this year.
Round 3 was competitive. Three contestants scored more than 1,000 round points; eight scored over 500; and thirteen scored over 300. The top three contestants had at least one featured article (two of them with two apiece). The following competitors scored more than 800 round points:
MCE89 (submissions) with 1567 points, mainly from good and featured articles about Australian people and geography, as well as some article reviews
Bgsu98 (submissions) with 1547 points, mainly from good articles, featured articles, featured lists, and a good topic about figure skating, along with 20 article reviews
Reconrabbit (submissions) with 1004 points, mainly from a high-multiplier featured article on European rabbit and several good articles, DYKs, and reviews
A.Cython (submissions) with 1004 points, mainly from good articles about warfare, along with 22 article reviews
Generalissima (submissions) with 859 points, mainly from good and featured articles about rivers and East Asian topics
The full scores for round 3 can be seen here. During this round, contestants have claimed 12 featured articles, 12 featured lists, 7 featured-topic articles, 117 good articles, 74 good-topic articles and more than 30 Did You Know articles. In addition, competitors have worked on 13 In the News articles, and they have conducted nearly 180 reviews. The tournament points table has been updated.
Remember that any content promoted after 28 June but before the start of Round 4 can be claimed in Round 4. Invitations for collaborative writing efforts or any other discussion of potentially interesting work is always welcome on the WikiCup talk page. Remember, if two or more WikiCup competitors have done significant work on an article, all can claim points. If you are concerned that your nomination—whether it is at good article candidates, a featured process, or anywhere else—will not receive the necessary reviews, please list it on Wikipedia:WikiCup/Reviews Needed. If you want to help out with the WikiCup, feel free to review one of the nominations listed on Wikipedia:WikiCup/Reviews Needed. Questions are welcome on Wikipedia talk:WikiCup, and the judges are reachable on their talk pages. Good luck! If you wish to start or stop receiving this newsletter, please feel free to add or remove your name from Wikipedia:WikiCup/Newsletter/Send. MediaWiki message delivery (talk) 13:49, 29 June 2026 (UTC)

Articles for Creation backlog drive
[edit]
Hello Spiderone:
WikiProject Articles for creation is holding a month long Backlog Drive in August!
The goal of this drive is to reduce the backlog of unreviewed drafts to less than a month of outstanding reviews from the current 3+ months. Bonus points will be given for reviewing drafts that have been waiting more than 30 days. The drive is running from 1 August 2026 through 31 August 2026.
You may find Category:AfC pending submissions by age or other categories and sorting helpful.
Barnstars will be given out as awards at the end of the drive.
There is a backlog of over 5000 pages, so start reviewing drafts. We're looking forward to your help! MediaWiki message delivery (talk) 00:38, 19 July 2026 (UTC)
- If you wish to opt-out of future mailings, please remove yourself from the mailing list or alternatively to opt-out of all massmessage mailings, you may add Category:Wikipedians who opt out of message delivery to your user talk page.

Ali Ahmed (Mumbay FC) moved to draftspace
[edit]Thanks for your contributions to Ali Ahmed (Mumbay FC). Unfortunately, I do not think it is ready for publishing as a live article at this time because it needs more sources to establish notability. I have converted it to a draft which you can improve, undisturbed for a while.
Please see more information at Help:Unreviewed new page. When the article is ready for publication, please click on the "Submit the draft for review!" button at the top of the page OR move the page back. Thilsebatti (talk) 10:42, 3 August 2026 (UTC)

[edit]Hi there. Thank you for all the good work you're doing draftifying and other activities. I was wondering if you'd be interested in the WP:PAGEMOVER user right? Page mover granted
[edit]
Hello, Spiderone. Your account has been granted the "extendedmover" user right, either following a request for it or demonstrating familiarity with working with article names and moving pages. You are now able to rename pages without leaving behind a redirect and move subpages when moving the parent page(s).
Please take a moment to review Wikipedia:Page mover for more information on this user right, especially the criteria for moving pages without leaving a redirect. Please remember to follow post-move cleanup procedures and make link corrections where necessary, including broken double-redirects when suppressredirect is used. This can be done using Special:WhatLinksHere. It is also very important that no one else be allowed to access your account, so you should consider taking a few moments to secure your password. As with all user rights, be aware that if abused, or used in controversial ways without consensus, your page mover status can be revoked.
Useful links:
- Wikipedia:Requested moves
- Category:Requested moves, for article renaming requests awaiting action.
If you do not want the page mover right anymore, just let me know, and I'll remove it. Thank you, and happy editing! Kj cheetham (talk) 11:08, 16 August 2026 (UTC)
User talk:Aneesaislam
[edit]Hi Spiderone. I just declined the CSD you requested for User talk:Aneesaislam. The content was pretty spammy (and I removed it as such), but we don't delete user talk pages without a good reason. I don't think spam is a good enough reason. Chess enjoyer (talk) 21:20, 18 August 2026 (UTC)
- No worries, I won't do it in future (unless it's unambiguous copy vio or threats of violence etc.) Spiderone(Talk to Spider) 22:20, 18 August 2026 (UTC)
- Sure. Those meet the criteria for redaction and need to be removed wherever they're found. If the only revision of a page contains them, then invoking WP:DELTALK would be unnecessarily bureaucratic in my opinion. Chess enjoyer (talk) 22:26, 18 August 2026 (UTC)

user-talk-page warnings
[edit]Hi, I’m having trouble sending user-talk-page warnings using Twinkle. I’m unable to do it properly and manually adding the warning templates is difficult for me. Could someone please tell me which script or gadget I need to install to make this easier? If possible, please provide the exact code that I can copy and paste into my common.js, along with brief installation instructions. 𝔇𝔥𝔦𝔯𝔞𝔧 𝔗𝔞𝔩𝔨 13:49, 20 August 2026 (UTC)
- User:DHIRAJDHONA please ignore my user talk warning then, I was just testing if Twinkle was broken. I just use WP:TWINKLE. The option to warn users is 3 spaces above where you would click for 'CSD' speedy deletion, which I presume you have on your Twinkle app. Please note that you need to be on the user talk page itself to warn them.
- So if you go on User talk:Spiderone and then top right should be 'TW' then select 'warn' and you can warn the user there. I've always used Twinkle so I actually don't know if there is a manual alternative other than just writing out a warning in your own words. Spiderone(Talk to Spider) 13:56, 20 August 2026 (UTC)

WikiCup 2026 September newsletter
[edit]The fourth round of the 2026 WikiCup ended on 29 August at 23:59 (UTC). Everyone who competed in round 4 will advance to round 5 unless they have withdrawn or been removed. Round 4 was competitive, though slightly less so than round 3. Three contestants scored more than 1,000 round points; six scored over 500; and nine scored over 300. Each of the top five competitors had hundreds of points accumulated from multiple GAs. The following competitors scored more than 800 round points:
Generalissima (submissions) with 1,318 points, mostly from 13 good articles and 3 featured articles about creeks and Chinese and Japanese subjects
Vanderwaalforces (submissions) with 1,208 points from 2 featured articles, 2 featured lists, and 12 good articles about African leaders, along with over two dozen reviews
A.Cython (submissions) with 1,084 points from 16 good articles and a small good topic about warfare and Greek elections, along with over two dozen reviews
Vestrian24Bio (submissions) with 955 points, mostly from 2 FLs, 2 featured topics, and 16 GAs about cricket, and almost two dozen reviews
Bgsu98 (submissions) with 837 points from 4 FLs and 8 GAs about figure skating, along with two dozen reviews
The full scores for round 4 can be seen here. During this round, contestants have claimed 10 featured articles, 11 featured lists, 8 featured-topic articles, 103 good articles, 6 good-topic articles and more than 30 Did You Know articles. In addition, competitors have worked on 11 In the News articles, and they have conducted 170 peer reviews, FA and GA reviews. The tournament points table has been updated.
Remember that any content promoted after 29 August but before the start of Round 5 can be claimed in Round 5. Speedy deletion nomination of Cyberani
[edit]
If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.
You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.
A tag has been placed on Cyberani, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G11 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the page seems to be unambiguous advertising which only promotes a company, group, product, service, person, or point of view and would need to be fundamentally rewritten in order to become encyclopedic. Please read the guidelines on spam and Wikipedia:FAQ/Organizations for more information.
If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, and you wish to retrieve the deleted material for future reference or improvement, then please contact the deleting administrator. Dreamyshade (talk) 22:58, 30 August 2026 (UTC)
- Ahh, sorry for the automated notification - all you did there was create the redirect that another person overwrote. Although maybe this is of interest because of that? I see that Cyberani by Aramco Digital got protected so that it couldn't be easily recreated. Dreamyshade (talk) 23:00, 30 August 2026 (UTC)
- I fully agree with deletion here. It was an inappropriate hijack and the salting of Cyberani by Aramco Digital says it all. Spiderone(Talk to Spider) 23:05, 30 August 2026 (UTC)
Talk:Sajidha Mohamed edit requests
[edit]When it's the same edit request (especially from a temp account), honestly I would just remove it as block evasion. If they continue to push, an option is to ask for a block from the talk page for the underlying /32 range to stop the temp accounts. Harder to stop the named ones, I know. Ravensfire (talk) 14:16, 3 September 2026 (UTC)

- Sometimes its tough when you do the right thing, assume good faith and then it turns out that it's just another persistent sock, pushing their junk and it turns out to be just another sock from a persistent, disruptive sock farm that doesn't care at all about Wikipedia, just getting paid for whatever crap article they are pushing. [edit]Isn't this image the one Moor used on "his" page? Does he not even know who his own client is? ChompyTheGogoat [ Bleat | Munched ] 08:40, 11 September 2026 (UTC)
- I think so. Have you got a link to the image? It should probably be deleted as copy vio. Spiderone(Talk to Spider) 09:29, 11 September 2026 (UTC)
- The draft was deleted. I can check their global contribs, but if they yanked it from somewhere else I think it would require an admin to review the history and find it. ChompyTheGogoat [ Bleat | Munched ] 01:57, 12 September 2026 (UTC)

- It's been suggested that we could use a LTA page for him, to help other editors identify his socks. I'm rather surprised we don't have one by now. How would you feel about writing it up, since you know his style and common targets the best? Iris already created WP:LTA/ALAS as a (quite appropriate) redirect. Help regarding SSMB
[edit]hey, I published a article without Help:Unreviewed new page, it was withdrawn, so now i want help of other editors, to improve the article. It's in Draft for reviewing: Steady-state microbunching(SSMB), I made some chages to it's tone and improve some parts of it, could you check the draft internally, it's an important article because of it's accelerator based approach of generating EUV light. Temporary account IP viewer granted
[edit]
Hello, Spiderone. Per your request, your account has been granted temporary-account-viewer rights. You are now able to reveal the IP addresses of individuals using temporary accounts that are not visible to the general public. This is very sensitive information that is only to be used to aid in anti-abuse workflows. Please take a moment to review Wikipedia:Temporary account IP viewer for more information on this user right. It is important to remember:
- You must not share IP address data with someone who does not have the same access permissions unless disclosure is permissible as per guidelines listed at Foundation:Policy:Wikimedia Access to Temporary Account IP Addresses Policy.
- Access must not be used for political control, to apply pressure on editors, or as a threat against another editor in a content dispute. There must be a valid reason to investigate a temporary user. Note that using multiple temporary accounts is not forbidden, so long as they are not used in violation of policies (for example, block or ban evasion).
It is also important to note that the following actions are logged for others to see:
- When a user accepts the preference that enables or disables IP reveal for their account.
- Revealing an IP address of a temporary account.
- Listing the temporary accounts that are associated with one or more IP addresses (using the CIDR notation format).
Remember, even if a user is violating policy, avoid revealing personal information if possible. Use temporary account usernames rather than disclosing IP addresses directly, or give information such as same network/not same network or similar. If you do not want the user right anymore then please ask me or another administrator and it will be removed for you. You may also voluntarily give up access at any time by visiting Special:Preferences. Happy editing! — Newslinger talk 09:02, 3 October 2026 (UTC)
The Teto Show
[edit]https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Draft:The_Teto_Show this was mine I was wondering what would I need to do to fix it I'm trying to do it for the creator AARONDAKILLA. Shadic1991 (talk) 17:28, 3 October 2026 (UTC)
- We'll need to see some news or literature sources that discuss it in significant detail. WP:REFB can help with referencing. Spiderone(Talk to Spider) 17:30, 3 October 2026 (UTC)
- Oh well that makes sense but there's not really news about it it's a fan made show and I wanted to make them a Wikipedia page but I don't know how to but overall even if it doesn't work be honest did I do well for my first page? Shadic1991 (talk) 17:31, 3 October 2026 (UTC)
- You did as well as could be done on that topic. Unfortunately, it isn't notable. That's not intended to be offensive or dismissive as most web series are not notable enough to have an article. I would read Wikipedia:Notability (web) before writing more articles. The best advice anyone here will give is to try editing existing articles first. Spiderone(Talk to Spider) 17:39, 3 October 2026 (UTC)
- Ok thanks I'm pretty sure Aaron will do the article himself I sent it to him so he can just use it as a reference if he can't then he'll probably just do it himself well hey atleast I learned how to ehhh somewhat make a Wikipedia page. Shadic1991 (talk) 17:42, 3 October 2026 (UTC)
- You should also inform him about our policies on conflicts of interest. Given that it doesn't appear to be notable it likely won't matter who writes it and would just end up being a waste of his time in any case. ChompyTheGogoat [ Bleat | Munched ] 18:04, 6 October 2026 (UTC)

- You might want to check the inclusion criteria for Wikipedia articles. Artists can be very notable and respected in some communities, but because Wikipedia has a stringent verifiability policy that requires every statement to be backed by backed by very reliable sources, individuals that don't receive significant coverages are difficult to write an article about - because we'd have nothing much to say about them. 海盐沙冰 / aka irisChronomia / Talk / Uploads 19:49, 6 October 2026 (UTC)
SPI cleanup?
[edit]Has there ever been any discussion of setting up a cleanup subpage for SPI cases, similar to AINB? Some are easy but the longer they've been active and the more accounts there are, the more mess there is.
Also, when we're still dealing with the original master account (as far as anyone knows) I take it we only G5 pages that are created by the confirmed socks, then anything in mainspace created by the master either gets draftified or XfD'd (if they don't qualify for any other CSD) and we wait out G13 on any remaining drafts? ChompyTheGogoat [ Bleat | Munched ] 18:01, 6 October 2026 (UTC)
- On your first point, not that I am aware of. For Al Akmar, for example, we archive the closed cases quite quickly but I'd be reluctant to compress further as all of that discussion can be important to refer back to as behavioural evidence, especially since that particular sockmaster has learned how to deceive CU. If there is a lot of off-topic discussion, we could maybe spoiler tag some of it but I don't want us to remove any behavioural discussion.
- For G5, it can only be for sockpuppets that were evading a block at the time of page creation. For example if JoeBloggs1 is a sock of JoeBloggs and JoeBloggs is blocked on 5th October, then any pages created after that by JoeBloggs1 can be deleted as G5 as long as no one else has made any significant changes. If JoeBloggs1 created articles or other pages before the master was blocked then they wouldn't be eligible for G5 and you would need to PROD/AfD/MfD etc. Spiderone(Talk to Spider) 18:08, 6 October 2026 (UTC)
- Sorry, I meant for cleanup of their edits, not the casepage itself. Even if they don't qualify under G5 most or all of their contributions are often related to the reason for the original block and are therefore inappropriate for one reason or another. ChompyTheGogoat [ Bleat | Munched ] 18:11, 6 October 2026 (UTC)
- e.g. WP:AI noticeboard/2026-09-16 DJ71park. Having something like that at least for the LTAs could also make it easier for us to compare edits from new suspect accounts to previous ones from confirmed socks. Maybe I should take this to VP, but I'm a bit leery after the disaster my last post snowballed into. ChompyTheGogoat [ Bleat | Munched ] 18:15, 6 October 2026 (UTC)
- In that case, I would support. There are some edits that we don't typically revert (e.g. genuine typo fixes, uncontroversial adding of categories) but most should be reverted, because we should do as much as possible to make sockmasters aware that their continuous abuse of our policies is not going to get them their desired outcome. Spiderone(Talk to Spider) 18:16, 6 October 2026 (UTC)
- Yeah, I've run across occasional trivial ones that I've left - usually link additions or similar, probably either done for edit count gaming or as an attempt to legitimize - but I've very rarely seen any that were significantly constructive and I strongly believe anything related to their primary goal should be shut down to attempt to discourage them from trying again (for all the good it does most of the time). Preventing payouts of bounties in particular should be a priority, so UPEs are just wasting their own time. And I think a tracking page would help everyone involved with fighting them. ChompyTheGogoat [ Bleat | Munched ] 18:23, 6 October 2026 (UTC)
- Yeah, an LTA noticeboard may work. The only downside might be that it brings more attention to these vandals. Spiderone(Talk to Spider) 18:31, 6 October 2026 (UTC)
- That's why I think it would work best nested below their case page, so it would mostly be people already involved that would go looking for it. Most people aren't randomly scrolling the cleanup tables on AINB. ChompyTheGogoat [ Bleat | Munched ] 19:07, 6 October 2026 (UTC)

Spiderone(Talk to Spider) 18:16, 6 October 2026 (UTC)
- Sorry, I meant for cleanup of their edits, not the casepage itself. Even if they don't qualify under G5 most or all of their contributions are often related to the reason for the original block and are therefore inappropriate for one reason or another. footballer makes professional debut... what do i have to do to get his page published?
[edit]https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Draft:Ed_Nolan_(footballer) made his professional debut in the EFL Championship today. You have blocked his page from being published despite many references to his appearance from the BBC, the official club website and Soccerbase. Please can you help us get his page published by explaining exactly what you need if the BBC and the club's official website arent enough? Thank you PNEmedia (talk) 21:23, 17 October 2026 (UTC)
- Making his professional debut has no relevance. As per the two decline messages, we are sorely lacking in any significant coverage. The supplied references do not discuss him in detail. Spiderone(Talk to Spider) 21:28, 17 October 2026 (UTC)
Joke...?
[edit]I have no idea. Occationally editing Wikipedia can feel like quite a humourous experience. 海盐沙冰 / aka irisChronomia / Talk / Uploads 06:34, 19 October 2026 (UTC)
- It's humorous and painful, often in equal measure. Like all things that make me laugh and cry, I always come back. Spiderone(Talk to Spider) 06:39, 19 October 2026 (UTC)
why did my draft get declined?
[edit]In Draft:Nika Sikharulashvili you said "[] Comment: Quality is more important than quantity when it comes to references. 16 of them are just stats sites which offer nothing in terms of notability whatsoever. 1TV is a passign mention so also contributes nothing. Lelo has some independent coverage so does contribute to notability a little bit but we need more than one good source. Spiderone(Talk to Spider) " but don't the game reports prove that he scored against Slovan Bratislava, Larne etc and i fixed my mistake by switching the references on Lelo and 1TV. The 17th and 18th references are team statistics. SandroChess (talk) 17:19, 19 October 2026 (UTC)
- We need significant coverage per WP:GNG. At the moment, the Lelo source is the only even slightly acceptable source. Spiderone(Talk to Spider) 17:23, 19 October 2026 (UTC)
- What do i need to do to fix the draft? SandroChess (talk) 17:27, 19 October 2026 (UTC)
- You need to add significant coverage sources. If they don't exist then you will need to leave the draft alone and not submit it further. Spiderone(Talk to Spider) 17:32, 19 October 2026 (UTC)
- Also please kindly stop messing about with the headings on my talk page, thanks. Spiderone(Talk to Spider) 17:33, 19 October 2026 (UTC)

Why did my wiki page get deleted?
[edit]My wiki page "LASK 5-1 Celtic" got deleted. Why did it get deleted when there is a page about a match in the UEFA Champions League qualifying round 2 "Lincoln Red Imps 1-0 Celtic"? SandroChess (talk) 16:18, 22 October 2026 (UTC)
- It completely fails WP:SPORTSEVENT and WP:GNG. If you wish to appeal the deletion, you can go to WP:DRV. The Lincoln Red Imps F.C. 1–0 Celtic F.C. probably needs to be deleted too but I haven't looked at it properly yet. Spiderone(Talk to Spider) 17:06, 22 October 2026 (UTC)
