Question from Stststudios (09:34, 19 October 2026)

[edit]

Hello! how do I change the title of the wikipedia page? The company are not just a theatre company and I would like to change it to reflect their output to; 1927 (Animation & Theatre) --Stststudios (talk) 09:34, 19 October 2026 (UTC)Reply

Hi, @Stststudios; welcome to Wikipedia. You can request for an article to be retitled (moved) via the requested moves process. You should read the article titles policy before making such a request. Also, I've reverted your edit on 1927 (theatre company) for two reasons:
  1. Its wording is promotional and not neutral. Wikipedia is an encyclopedia, and its articles should be written in a neutral and encyclopedic tone.
  2. The text appears to be copied from https://www.19-27.co.uk/about and thus a copyright violation. All text added to Wikipedia must be provided with the copyright holder's consent and agreement to license it under Wikipedia's licensing terms; copying substantial amounts of text from copyrighted sources without such consent and licensing is not permitted by law nor Wikipedia's policies.
Based on your edits, it seems that you may have a conflict of interest (COI) with 1927. Please read that page to understand what this entails; I would strongly recommend you to disclose this COI before making any additional edits to the article. I understand. I can see why it reads as promotional too! I do have a COI as I started the company 1927.
The facts on the original page are incorrect though, and thus likely to be very problematic to us, a small company.
I am very happy to rewrite and attempt a more neutral tone.
We have wanted to change it for many years. Stststudios (talk) 13:55, 22 October 2026 (UTC)Reply
@Stststudios: Thanks for explaining. I would recommend for you to follow the COI edit request wizard so that you can request correction of the incorrect information. Tol (talk | contribs) @ 21:38, 23 October 2026 (UTC)Reply

Question from Indexaustralis (15:23, 25 October 2026)

[edit]

I'm a librarian and archivist from Chile, with experience in academic research and scholarly publishing. I'm interested in improving references and contributing to articles about libraries, archives, and cultural heritage.

Would you recommend starting with reference corrections before attempting to create new articles?

Regards, IndexAustralis --Indexaustralis (talk) 15:23, 25 October 2026 (UTC)Reply

Hi, @Indexaustralis; welcome to Wikipedia. I would definitely say that creating a new article is a lot more complicated than just correcting references. I think the latter would likely be easier as a new editor, and would provide useful preparation for creating an article; I would also recommend writing prose (following neutral point of view) and learning about the notability guideline before creating a new article. Hi, @Kalid Ali nasir; welcome to Wikipedia. I can't understand what you're trying to ask; could you clarify your question? I've also removed part of your messages because they looked like a telephone number; please let me know if this isn't the case. Tol (talk | contribs) @ 21:51, 1 November 2026 (UTC)Reply
