Search by edit summary?

[edit]

I want to search for edits that used a specific piece of text in the edit summary. Are there any tools that do this or should I go to Quarry? — GhostInTheMachine talk to me

Visualization tool: VIZWP

[edit]

Hello ! There are new elements to look for in the Wikipedia articles visualization tool VIZWP tool

Two of the features selected during phase I of the project in 2025 were already developed and published, beta mode.

You may test the tool with the dataset we originally created for this purpose (most important articles related to climate and climate change) - this is the easiest way

OR you can create and import your own dataset using the new topic-builder tool assisted with AI - takes more time, but very rewarding.

If you want to test the tool on your side, I invite you to test it here

and then drop comments, bugs, suggestions  there

Your feedback is very important to us.

To test the creation and import of your own dataset, please check out : new topic-builder tool

Another option is to join us at one of the dedicated events coming soon for a demo and a chat. Check out here : https://meta.wikimedia.org/wiki/Visual_Analytics_for_Sustainability_and_Climate_Change/Community#2026

Next chat in English is planned on June 5th. Register here: Event:VIZWP_05_06_2026

There is a discussion in French planned on June 10th.

Finally, if you want to be personally informed of the next steps of the tool, please sign up here.

Cheers

Proposing tool for inclusion

[edit]

Using a tool called WikiWarden that allows editors to track specific articles for changes, view side-by-side revisions, and run automated audits to check pages against Wikipedia's Neutral Point of View (NPOV) and Verifiability policies.

If the community finds it appropriate, I propose adding the following bullet point to the list of tools:

  • ‘’’WikiWarden – An external web tool that tracks article revisions side-by-side and utilizes AI to audit pages against Wikipedia's Neutral Point of View (NPOV) and Verifiability standards.

Maybe the link should be labeled as dead or removed. BoardHum (talk) 02:37, 29 July 2026 (UTC)Reply
